This photographic print is a wonderfully detailed composite of three original panoramic photographs of Fenway Park from September, 1912, Fenway Park's first year of operations. The photograph was taken during the final road trip in 1912. The Red Sox had already clinched the American League, and the Park is being prepared for the 1912 World Series. The preparations included the construction of "temporary" wooden bleachers, which were actually never removed until a fire burned them down in 1926. Reprints have been digitally retouched. From the Library of Congress Prints and Photographs Division. The print will be rolled up in a tube for mailing.
